HOA 2019 Annual Meeting and Election of 3 Board Members – Please Consider Running

October 24, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The 2019 Annual Meeting of the Quail Forest HOA will be held on Thursday, October 24th at the Community Pool facility for the convenience of our residents.  Registration will start at 6:30pm and we hope to start the meeting at 7pm if we reach required quorum by that time. This year, we have THREE Director positions coming up for election and it is the desire of the current Board, which is now comprised of three members, that unlike in years past, there will be a renewed interest from our fellow residents in coming forth to run for these positions.

  • Being a Board member most importantly and probably what may have been lost or forgotten or misinterpreted of late, is the opportunity to bring to the table what others in the community are telling you as a Board Member that they are happy or unhappy about; what they want to see changed or added; what they like or dislike about what the HOA is doing; what community events they would enjoy participating in, etc.
  • Being a Board member involves attending a monthly meeting and those dates are confirmed a month in advance but other than that, the time commitment is what each individual board member can and wants to commit.
  • Being a Board member involves learning about the HOA’s documents and policies but the support offered by CMC and returning Board members is always there to help.
  • Being a Board member is helping to make decisions on the financial and operational direction of the great community that we all call home but making those decisions based on what we as Directors feel is in the best interest of the community as a whole.  To do that we want to and need to find ways to encourage feedback from our neighbors because Communication is such a vital part of Community.
  • Being a Board member is making a good faith effort to be upfront in the decision making process on Association matters to disclose potential conflicts of interest, whether they be of a financial, business, professional or personal relationship or interest

If you are interested in being a candidate for one of the three positions coming up for election at the October 24th Annual Meeting, please contact our Association Manager Linda Tsacalides by email at ltsacalides@cmctx.com with any questions or to let her know you are interested and she will have the 2019 Nominating Committee contact you with more information.  It takes community involvement to build and strengthen a community – show your community spirit and consider running for a Board position.
